SUNY Oneonta’s 2017 Family Weekend will be held Sept. 22-24. All students and their family members are welcome to attend!
We look forward to having your families join our families for a weekend of fun! Most activities are free. Online registration for events with fees is available here.
Follow the Family Weekend Facebook event page and on social media at #OneontaFW17. This year’s event line-up includes family movies, planetarium shows, arts and crafts, a kickball tournament, a live birds of prey presentation, a craft fair, a Brooks’ chicken barbecue and a “Family Feud”-style game.
New events this year include:
a wine tasting hosted by Food Service & Restaurant Administration program Director Oscar Oberkircher;
an interactive presentation by Chemistry Department Chair Bill Vining on the way scientists use molecules to identify substances and create new materials;
a performance by mentalist duo Jeff and Tessa Evason; and
a 5K race/1-mile walk to benefit local food banks
